Job Title: Production Support Engineer

We are hiring an experienced Production Support Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting enterprise-level financial platforms. If you thrive in high-availability environments and enjoy working across incident, change, and problem management — this opportunity is for you!
Location: On-site – Omaha, NE | Berkeley Heights, NJ | Wilmington, DE | Frisco, TX | Alpharetta, GA
Duration: 6 Months (Possibility of Extension)
Shift: 1st & 2nd Shift (On-call, weekends/holidays as needed)
Job Summary
As a Production Support Engineer, you will play a critical role across multiple stages of the Software Development Lifecycle, focusing on production stability, resiliency, and performance. You’ll support high-quality financial platforms while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless production operations.
This role requires strong hands-on experience in monitoring, incident management, and platform support in enterprise IT environments.
Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)
4+ years of experience in an enterprise IT environment
2+ years experience with Unix & Windows systems and scheduling tools
2+ years experience with databases: Oracle, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra
2+ years experience in:
Red Hat OpenShift, Kubernetes, Kafka
Flink, Spark, Hadoop
AWS, Azure, Google Cloud
Java, JVM, Middleware, Apigee
PCF, ARO, OCP, Abinitio, Cognos
2+ years in Production Management & Application Monitoring
1+ year experience with monitoring tools:
Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Moogsoft
1+ year experience with Incident, Change & Problem Management
Tools: ServiceNow, Remedy, CA Service Desk
Experience with on-call production support
Bachelor’s degree in related field (or equivalent combination of education & experience)
Key Responsibilities
Manage incident, change, and problem management activities
Perform impact analysis & root cause analysis for production issues
Support monthly patching & certification activities
Maintain production run books & change registers
Conduct proactive monitoring using Splunk, Dynatrace, Grafana, Moogsoft
Drive resiliency, availability, and platform hygiene improvements
Collaborate with production assurance and cross-functional teams
