The Account Manager is responsible for managing client relationships and supporting the development and execution of marketing programs that drive business results. Serving as a primary day-to-day contact for assigned accounts, this role ensures work is strategically aligned, on brand, and reflective of client objectives.
The Account Manager develops a strong understanding of each client's business, industry, and goals, contributing to strategic planning while partnering with internal teams to bring programs to life. This role maintains overall account health, supports profitable growth, and proactively identifies opportunities to strengthen and grow client partnerships.
Requirements
Key Responsibilities
Serve as the primary day-to-day contact for assigned clients, building strong, professional relationships based on trust and responsiveness
Develop and maintain a strong understanding of clients' businesses, objectives, key performance indicators, industries, and competitive landscape
Contribute to the development of strategic marketing plans and integrated campaigns aligned with client goals
Partner with internal teams (strategy, creative, media, production, etc.) to ensure deliverables are aligned with approved strategy and client expectations
Prepare and present client-facing materials including briefs, proposals, estimates, timelines, and performance updates
Review creative concepts, copy, and production materials to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and strategic consistency before client delivery
Support scope development, estimating, and budget management to ensure work remains aligned with approved parameters
Monitor overall account health, proactively addressing concerns and elevating potential risks to senior leadership when appropriate
Identify opportunities for incremental growth within existing accounts and contribute to recommendations that expand client partnerships
Qualifications
2-3 years of experience in an agency account service role, client service position, or marketing department
General advertising, marketing, or direct marketing experience
Exposure to strategic marketing planning and integrated campaign execution
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate ideas and present information to clients and internal teams
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail in a deadline-driven environment
Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining accuracy and responsiveness
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and a proactive, solutions-oriented mindset
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships across cross-functional teams
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
