We are supporting a major financial‑sector organisation in Brussels, undergoing a strategic transformation of its SAP landscape. As part of this multi‑year cloud migration programme, we are looking for a Project Manager to lead all activities related to document archiving, PDF cleanup, data lifecycle management, and decommissioning of legacy solutions.
You will join an established programme team where several consultants are already active. The environment is international, structured, and highly collaborative.
In this role, you will coordinate the transition from legacy archiving tools to a modern cloud‑based archiving platform, while ensuring proper data retention, cleanup, and lifecycle management within SAP systems. You will act as the central point of contact between IT, business stakeholders, and integration partners across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and coordinate all activities related to document archiving, PDF cleanup, and structured document lifecycle processes.
Serve as the primary liaison between IT teams, business stakeholders, and external integration partners.
Support the decommissioning of legacy archiving solutions and the implementation of a new cloud‑based archiving platform (ECS or similar).
Organise and monitor historical data cleanup and archiving activities within SAP environments.
Use SAP ILM to manage data retention, residence, deletion, and compliance requirements.
Align with internal and external teams across multiple countries to ensure consistency and readiness.
Prepare and follow up on planning, progress tracking, risk management, and reporting.
Ensure all documentation, procedures, and handover materials are properly maintained.
Required Skills & Experience
Minimum 5 years of experience in data management, archiving, or IT coordination roles.
Solid understanding of SAP cloud migration contexts and decommissioning workflows.
Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and countries.
Autonomous, structured, and comfortable managing cross‑team initiatives.
Ability to follow up on technical topics with IT, architects, and integration teams.
Nice to Have
Experience with ECS (Elastic Cloud Storage) or similar cloud archiving technologies.
Hands‑on experience with SAP ILM or SAP data lifecycle management.
Previous involvement in SAP ECC, S/4HANA, or cloud migration programmes.
Experience working in large, international organisations.
Additional Information
Hybrid working model: approx. 50% onsite in Brussels.
Workload: Full-time or Part‑time availability (3–4 days/week) can be considered for the right profile.
Languages: English required; French strongly preferred
