Title: Senior Scrum Master – Finance Tech & AI Initiatives

Location: New York, NY (Hybrid - 3 days onsite)

Type: Contract (7 Months)

About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Scrum Master to lead multiple Agile teams delivering innovative Finance Technology and AI-driven initiatives within a large enterprise environment.
This role requires a strong Agile leader who can drive delivery excellence, manage complex stakeholder environments, and foster a culture of continuous improvement across cross-functional technology teams.
If you have experience operating in Banking/Financial Services environments and have exposure to AI, machine learning, or data-driven platforms, this role offers the opportunity to work on high-impact enterprise programs.

Key Responsibilities

Lead multiple cross-functional Agile teams using Scrum methodologies
Facilitate all Agile ceremonies (Sprint Planning, Stand-ups, Reviews, Retrospectives)
Partner with Product Owners and stakeholders to define scope, timelines, and deliverables
Identify risks and proactively implement mitigation strategies
Drive continuous improvement using KPIs and team performance metrics
Remove impediments and shield teams from external disruptions
Support backlog grooming and prioritization
Communicate delivery updates, risks, and progress to senior stakeholders
Foster transparency, collaboration, and accountability

Required Qualifications

5–9+ years of experience as a Scrum Master in enterprise technology environments
Strong experience within Banking / Financial Services domain
Proven ability to manage complex IT delivery programs
Expertise in Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
Proficiency in Jira, Confluence, or Azure DevOps
Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Preferred Qualifications

Exposure to AI / Machine Learning / Data Platforms
Familiarity with Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
Understanding of Big Data tools (Spark, Hadoop – conceptual knowledge sufficient)
Agile certifications (CSM, PSM)
PMP certification (nice to have)
