Job description

Marketing Choices is seeking a creative and motivated Social Media Intern to join our remote internship program. This unpaid, educational internship is designed to provide hands-on experience, mentorship, and skill development in social media marketing, content creation, and analytics.

Interns will gain practical exposure to real client accounts while learning industry best practices and contributing under the guidance of our Digital Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities:

Content Creation

Assist in developing engaging content for platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, and Google Business Profiles
Collaborate on visuals, graphics, and short-form video content using Canva

Social Media Management & Engagement

Schedule and publish content across multiple platforms
Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions
Support community engagement initiatives and audience growth

Analytics & Reporting

Track performance using tools such as Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, and platform insights
Assist with reporting and data-driven recommendations

Campaign Support

Support the planning and execution of social media campaigns and promotions
Monitor campaign performance and suggest improvements

Qualifications

Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
Strong understanding of major social media platforms and best practices
Proficiency in Canva (minimum 1 year preferred)
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Creative, detail-oriented, and eager to learn
Familiarity with social media analytics tools and scheduling platforms

Schedule: Monday to Friday, deadline-based (weekly hours expectation 10–15 hrs/week)
