Lighthouse Technology Services is partnering with our client to fill their Product Owner position! This is a 9+ month contract opportunity based in Buffalo, NY and is open to local and remote candidates. This role will be a W2 employee of Lighthouse Technology Services.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Build and own the product vision and roadmap aligned with strategic objectives.
Prioritize and manage the product backlog(s) based on overall product strategy.
Represent the voice of the customer and ensure story clarity for the delivery team.
Make autonomous, well-informed decisions to move product delivery forward.
Write user stories and define acceptance criteria to support Acceptance Test-Driven Development (ATDD).
Partner with agile teams to create effective communication tools and progress tracking mechanisms.
Participate in agile ceremonies and team activities.
Collaborate across business units and with other Product Owners to align customer journeys and dependent backlogs.
Use design thinking methods and analytics to focus on outcomes over outputs.
Influence business partners across the organization to advocate for customer-centered solutions.
Ensure adherence to risk management, regulatory standards, and internal control requirements.

What You’ll Need to Have:

6+ years of Product Owner or product experience in a banking environment
Experience in Embedded Banking use cases (strongly preferred)
Experience working with Commercial clients or FinTech partners (strongly preferred)
Strong experience in Agile/Scrum environments
Experience defining product vision and roadmap in ambiguous, early-stage initiatives
Proven ability to work cross-functionally on complex projects with evolving requirements
Strong written and verbal communication skills with both technical teams and business stakeholders
Experience writing high-quality user stories and defining acceptance criteria
Hands-on experience with Jira and Confluence
Ability to work independently, ramp quickly, and bring structure to ambiguity

Pay Range: $60-$65/hr
