About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer (7–10 years of experience) with a strong Software Engineering background to join our team.
You will be responsible for maintaining and evolving a Python-based production service that processes data and is deployed via Docker in a multi-environment setup. The role requires strong expertise in Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), and document processing strategies, with a strong focus on production reliability and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement data collection systems and strategies to optimize data quality and statistical efficiency
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends within complex datasets
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define deliverable requirements
Apply advanced Machine Learning techniques to solve complex problems, with a focus on Large Language Models (LLMs)
Develop and optimize document processing methods using ML technologies (OCR, LLM-based systems, RAG strategy)
Work on agent-based systems when relevant
Monitor and maintain model performance in production environments
Ensure service reliability across multiple environments, including production
Implement proactive monitoring and operational best practices
Maintain high code quality standards and follow internal best practices
Contribute proactively to product and technical improvements
Place user experience at the center of technical development
Operate within an Agile framework with daily backlog management
Technical Environment
Languages: Python (mandatory), Java (nice to have)
Cloud & DevOps: AWS, Docker, Jenkins, Git
Infrastructure: Multi-environment deployments
Search & Data: OpenSearch
Frameworks & Tools: Haystack
AI/ML: OCR models, LLMs, RAG strategies, ML-based document processing
Data Management: Pipeline-based data processing
Profile & Experience
7–10 years of experience as a Software Engineer and/or AI/ML Engineer
Strong expertise in Python-based backend services
Proven experience deploying and maintaining production-grade systems
Significant experience with document processing methods leveraging ML (OCR, LLMs, RAG)
Strong understanding of monitoring, production constraints, and operational excellence
Experience working in multi-environment architectures
Strong communication skills with both technical (Platform, Ops) and non-technical stakeholders
Proactive mindset with a continuous improvement approach
Nice to Have
AWS Certification
Experience or certification in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform)
Experience working with agent-based architectures
