You Are
We are seeking a highly skilled DevOps Engineer with 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, CI/CD engineering, containerization, and modern DevOps practices.
The Opportunity
Design, build, and support cloud infrastructure (AWS/Azure), including networking, VPCs, routing, firewalls, IAM, monitoring & logging.
Implement scalable and secure cloud solutions, landing zones, multi-account structures, networks, DNS, and hybrid connectivity.
Troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues (network flows, latency, DNS, routing, multi-cloud interoperability).
Develop IaC using Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation, Packer.
Build/maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps).
Automate infrastructure provisioning and deployment workflows using Python, Bash, PowerShell.
Implement observability solutions (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog, Cloud Logging).
Work with Docker and Kubernetes (AKS/EKS) to build reliable, scalable containerized applications.
Manage service mesh, microservices components, and cloud-native workloads.
Implement cloud security controls (IAM, WAF, GuardDuty, encryption, policies).
Support secure CI/CD workflows and integrate security scans and compliance checks.
Manage deployments, releases, monitoring, incident response, and operational processes.
Drive SRE practices including SLIs/SLOs, postmortems, reliability improvements.
Work with development, QA, product, architecture, and security teams to enable DevOps adoption and cloud modernization.
Mentor junior engineers and promote DevOps best practices.

What You Need
7+ years of DevOps/Cloud Infrastructure experience.
Expertise in AWS/Azure cloud engineering, networking, security, and automation.
Strong experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps.
Hands-on with Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation (IaC).
Proficiency in Python, Bash, or PowerShell scripting.
Strong knowledge of Docker & Kubernetes (AKS/EKS).
Familiarity with monitoring tools (Prometheus, ELK, Datadog).
Good understanding of networking, DevOps security, and performance optimization.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications: AWS DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Expert, Kubernetes.
Experience with FinOps, cost optimization, microservices & service mesh.
Exposure to enterprise-scale cloud migrations and multi-cloud architectures.
Compensation can differ depending on factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, education, and level of experience. UST provides a reasonable range of compensation for roles that may be hired in various U.S. markets as set forth below.
Role Location: Virginia
Compensation Range: $75,000-$113,000

Full-time, regular employees accrue a minimum of 10 days of paid vacation per year, receive 6 days of paid sick leave each year (pro-rated for new hires throughout the year), 10 paid holidays, and are eligible for paid bereavement leave and jury duty.
