Data Protection Automation Engineer

Remote

Design, develop, test and support automation for the data protection services within the bank.
Design, develop, test and support reporting and monitoring capabilities for the automation.
Provide engineering support on the bank’s data protection products and their standard usage.
Undertake product evaluation, new features, and versions.
Produce clear and comprehensive documentation for all automation produced.
Mentor less experienced members of staff"

Education & Experience

10+ years development experience with multiple languages, including Python, Bash
5+ years’ experience in configuration management and orchestration using Redhat Ansible
5+ years’ experience in configuration management and orchestration using Puppet.
5+ years’ experience in designing, developing, and testing Rest API services.
5+ years’ experience in Devops SCM tooling, GitHub
5+ years’ experience in Devops CI/CD tooling, Jenkins, CloudBees
5+ years’ experience in Devops collaboration tools, Jira, Confluence

Required Technical Skills

Strong technical background in Veritas NetBackup and related infrastructure
Strong technical background in Commvault and related infrastructure
