Junior Java Developer

Location: Birmingham (5 days a week or willingness to relocate)

What You’ll Be Doing:

Develop and maintain applications using Java as your core language.
Work on backend services and integrate with SQL databases.
Learn and apply best practices in coding, testing, and performance optimization.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an agile environment.
Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with guidance from senior team members.

Tech Stack You’ll Be Using:

Languages: Java (primary), SQL, Python
Frameworks & Tools: Spring Boot, REST APIs
Cloud: AWS
Databases: MySQL, PostgreSQL
Collaboration: Git, Jira, Confluence

What We’re Looking For:

Coding Bootcamp graduates with hands-on experience in modern technologies OR STEM graduates from disciplines such as Computer Science, Economics, Physics, or related fields, who are eager to apply analytical thinking to software development.
Some experience with Java development (academic, commercial, or personal projects).
Basic understanding of SQL and relational databases.
Exposure to Python for scripting or automation tasks.
Familiarity or willingness to learn AWS cloud services.
Ability to work onsite in Birmingham 5 days a week or relocate.
A proactive attitude and eagerness to learn and grow.
