Graduate Analyst – Timberland Team (9-month Fixed Term Contract)

Location: London (Covent Garden / Leicester Square area)

Salary: £30,000 – £40,000

I am recruiting on behalf of a leading investment and private equity firm seeking to appoint two Graduate Analysts to join their Timberland team in London on a 9-month fixed term contract, with the potential for extension.

This role provides an excellent opportunity for a graduate to gain exposure within a specialist investment team, supporting fundraising, portfolio management and client servicing activities across global timberland investments.

Role Overview

The successful candidates will support a broad range of activities, including:

Supporting the Timberland team’s client relations process from fundraising through to ongoing client servicing
Evaluating and reporting on timberland portfolios, including KPIs relating to forest asset valuations, cashflows, wood product markets and sustainability metrics
Conducting research into global timberland and wood product markets
Preparing client-ready written communications (emails, reports and presentations) explaining forestry, wood product markets and the timberland asset class
Producing detailed and accurate responses to client enquiries and Requests for Proposals (RFPs)
Supporting wider team activities, including portfolio management and transaction-related work

Candidate Profile

My client is seeking candidates who can demonstrate:

A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics or a related discipline; Data Analytics; or Natural Resources / Environmental studies
Some relevant experience gained within asset management, consulting or a comparable industry (internships welcomed)
Strong Excel modelling and PowerPoint presentation skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
