The Enterprise Network Security Senior Engineer will design, implement, and maintain robust network security infrastructures for enterprise-level environments. This role involves leading security initiatives, managing complex network security systems, and ensuring compliance with security policies and regulatory requirements. The Senior Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop strategies, mitigate risks, and respond to security incidents effectively.

Design, implement, and maintain scalable, resilient, and secure enterprise network solutions, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, NAC, and other security devices
Configure and manage security tools (e.g., firewalls, SIEM, VPNs, endpoint security) and ensure network integrity by conducting regular audits, vulnerability scans, and security assessments
Analyze current security risks and develop strategies for mitigation, risk analysis, and continuous security improvement. Develop disaster recovery and business continuity plans related to network security
Monitor network traffic for unusual activity and investigate security breaches. Lead incident response activities, including detection, containment, eradication, recovery, and post-incident analysis
Ensure the network complies with industry regulations and company policies (e.g., NIST, ISO, PCI-DSS) and work closely with the compliance team to ensure all security standards are met
Collaborate with IT teams, business units, and external vendors to integrate security solutions into broader business processes. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on security best practices
Maintain comprehensive documentation of all network security systems, including configurations, processes, and incident reports. Provide regular security updates to senior management and recommend improvements
Stay informed of new cybersecurity threats and emerging technologies. Evaluate and recommend new tools and approaches to strengthen the organization's security posture

THE STATS

What we're looking for in our next teammate

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, Network Engineering, or a related field. A master’s degree is preferred
Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in network security engineering, with a focus on enterprise environments
Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CCNP Security, CISM, CEH, or equivalent are highly desired
Advanced knowledge of firewall technologies (Cisco, Palo Alto, Check Point)
Experience with Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS), SIEM platforms, and VPN technologies(GlobalProtect, Netskope, Island, etc.)
Proficient in network protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, etc.) and hands-on experience with routing and switching
In-depth understanding of encryption methods, authentication protocols, and VPN technologies
Experience with cloud security architectures (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
Experience with scripting / software development is highly desired (Python, Flask, Jinja2, Bootstrap 5, JavaScript/ AJAX, Terraform, GitHub)
Excellent problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Experience in managing security in cloud-native environments and hybrid cloud infrastructures
Strong knowledge of Zero Trust architectures and principles
Experience leading cross-functional security teams or managing large-scale security projects
Must be willing to participate in an on-call rotation and occasional after-hours work for maintenance or emergencies
