Position Description
The Cloud Ops Engineer will focus on building, maintaining, and supporting the cloud hosting infrastructure of Omnigo, collaborating with the Technical Operations, Software Development and Customer Support teams at all phases from design to implementation, and support. The role will be accountable for the overall technical and architecture design, cost effectiveness, quality of solution, knowledge transfer, and mentoring of other technical team members. The qualified candidate will have extensive knowledge in cloud computing industry trends with regards to technology and adoption, and especially proficient in the understanding and application of various automation related tools and languages.
Essential Job Responsibilities
· Architect, design, build, implement, and deliver scalable Microsoft Azure solutions
· Key individual for hands-on delivery of enterprise Azure solutions for new and existing clients to meet their technical, security, and business needs
· Design and deploy the virtual machine environment, storage environment, network architecture, etc.
· Create, implement, and manage automated deployments of cloud Infrastructure and system configurations and new customer deployments and teardowns
· Respond to and troubleshoot issues related to MS SQL, SaaS applications, infrastructure, deployment automation, pipelines, performance, etc.
· Communicate statuses via Teams and email to all team members and support groups
· Contribute to and support the DevOps methodology/culture
· Participate in on-call rotation and respond to incidents as required
· Design, implement and test disaster recovery and business continuity capability
· Ensure all infrastructure components meet proper performance and capacity standards
Requirements
· 3+ years relevant Cloud Engineering experience with large-scale implementations on Microsoft Azure
· 2+ years of experience in performing automated deployments to Azure Cloud
· 3+ years of experience as an Infrastructure engineer at the enterprise level
· 3+ years of experience utilizing automation tools such as Ansible, and Terraform
· Experience with Kubernetes and Helm charts is preferred
· 3+ years of experience in cloud architectures, including web, application, and database components
· 2+ years of experience with Azure Resource Manager, Resource Groups, Virtual Networks, Azure Virtual Machines, Azure Blob Storage, PowerShell DSC, Azure Automation, Azure Active Directory, and Azure Site Recovery
· 2+ years of experience with Azure Governance and Best Practices (Role Based Access Control, Networking Architectures, Cost Management controls, etc.)
· 3+ years of experience scripting with PowerShell
· Experience with Compliance and Vulnerabiltity management tools
