Your mission
As a Contract Manager, you will be a key player in the commercial and contractual governance of large-scale EPC projects. You will support project teams by securing contractual positions, managing risks and changes, and ensuring full compliance with contractual, legal, and HSE requirements throughout the project lifecycle.
Your responsibilities
Contractual & commercial management
Lead commercial and contractual matters within the CFT for specific project packages (e.g. URF Package): documentation preparation, clarifications, and Contract Committee preparation.
Manage commercial and contractual aspects related to other project contracts (documentation, clarifications, contract committee inputs).
Handle contractual correspondence, including letters, change orders, and contractual notices.
Contract administration & execution
Administer contracts to ensure contractor compliance and provide proactive contractual support to the Project Manager during execution phases.
Attend and contribute to project meetings (weekly, monthly, change order meetings).
Coordinate and review all correspondence issued to or received from contractors and prepare draft responses for Project Manager approval.
Change management & claims
Coordinate and manage Change Order processes, including COR/CO log management, contractual and commercial reviews, and proposal of responses.
Actively contribute to claims defense strategies and prepare technical and contractual arguments jointly with the Project Manager.
Participate in dispute resolution processes alongside legal, insurance, and finance specialists when required.
Governance & continuous improvement
Establish contractual systems and documentation in line with project procedures and management/HSE requirements.
Propose contractual frameworks, templates, and governance adapted to project needs in coordination with partners and stakeholders.
Participate in supplier and contractor evaluations and follow-up.
Contribute to decision-making processes for future contract awards.
Your profile
Education: Engineering degree, business degree, or equivalent background in contract or project management.
Experience: Proven experience as a Contract Manager in the Oil & Gas industry, within EPC contractor organizations.
Expertise:
Post-award contract management towards clients.
Pre-award negotiation of purchase orders and contractual terms.
Strong knowledge of compliance, intellectual property, and insurance matters.
Understanding of English Law / Common Law contractual frameworks.
Languages: Fluent English required; French is a strong advantage.
Soft skills: Autonomous, rigorous, strong communication and negotiation skills.
