Position Available: Salesforce Data Cloud Lead

Location: McLean, VA (3 days per week onsite)

Salary: $180,000 – $250,000 DOE

Experience needed: Senior, hands-on Salesforce engineer with proven Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) implementation experience, capable of designing and building data models, ingestion pipelines, and integrations across enterprise Salesforce environments.

About the role

We’re looking for a hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud specialist to design and build end-to-end Data Cloud solutions for an enterprise client.

This role is strongly delivery-focused. You’ll spend the majority of your time hands-on in Salesforce Data Cloud; designing data models, configuring ingestion pipelines, integrating external systems, and building scalable data flows. While you’ll own the technical implementation, this is not a people management or governance-heavy role.

Key Responsibilities

Design and implement Salesforce Data Cloud solutions end-to-end
Build and manage ingestion pipelines, data streams, and identity resolution processes
Develop integrations with CRM, ERP, and marketing platforms using REST/SOAP APIs and middleware tools
Configure and optimise data models, segmentation, and activation use cases within Data Cloud
Work closely with business and engineering teams to translate requirements into working technical solutions
Ensure performance, scalability, security, and compliance across the platform
Support deployments, testing, and post-go-live optimisation

What we need from you

Strong hands-on Salesforce Data Cloud (CDP) implementation experience
Proven background building ingestion pipelines, data modelling, and integrations
Solid Salesforce development skills (Apex, Lightning Web Components, SOQL)
Experience integrating Salesforce with external systems using APIs or MuleSoft
Understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance standards (GDPR/CCPA)
Comfortable owning technical delivery end-to-end and building solutions yourself

Nice to have

Salesforce Marketing Cloud experience
MuleSoft or other ETL/integration platforms
Experience working within large enterprise or consultancy environments
Salesforce Data Cloud or Data Architect certifications
