Programme Director – Cyber & Data Security

A leading public sector organisation are looking for a Programme Director to lead the delivery of an established information security programme covering both cyber and data security. The programme is in-flight with multiple workstreams and projects. They are looking for someone with several years information/cyber security programme delivery experience, who can provide some domain subject matter expertise, as well as strategic oversight, executive engagement, programme governance, and selective project-level involvement, managing internal teams and third-party partners to ensure delivery aligns with organisational objectives in technology, compliance, and data protection.

You should apply for this role if you are/have:

5+ years specific cyber/information security programme delivery experience leading multi-workstream programmes in complex organisations
Direct line management experience of 10+ staff and experience coordinating external vendors and delivery partners
Significant experience in programme governance, including Steering Committee reporting, executive-level updates, and decision-making forums
Manage programme-level financials, risks, and dependencies, focusing on cyber risk and data security outcomes.
Engage with senior and executive stakeholders, including the CIO and leadership teams across Data Protection, Compliance, Technology Operations, and Infrastructure.

This is an initial six month, £850-£900/day umbrella/inside IR35 contract role. Hybrid working with 2 days on site in Worcestershire.
