Job Description

The intern will be involved in the development of failure analysis automation tools for Solid State Drives and NAND flash memory. This role requires a solid understanding in machine learning, including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and Large Language Models (LLMs).

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Develop failure analysis automation tools related to SSDs and NAND flash memory.
Design, train, and optimize machine learning models, with a focus on CNN and LLM.
Automated compilation and organization of technical data to share with SSD and NAND Subject Matter Experts (SMEs).
Document design, tool implementation, testing and validation results, and data analysis findings for communication and transparency.

Qualifications

Required:

Currently pursuing a Master's degree in Computer Science, AI Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering,related field with a graduation date ofMay/June 2027
Available to work a 12-week, full time internshipduring May - August2026
Preference given to candidates who will not require relocation to the Milpitas, CA area. Relocation will not be offered for this position
Hands-on experience with machine learning frameworks like TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras
Strong understanding of Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs) and their applications in computer vision
Strong programming skills in Python, ElasticSearch, and Jupiter Notebook
Understanding of gen AI development

Preferred Skills

It’s helpful if you meet one or more of the following qualifications, but it isn't a requirement.

Ability to learn quickly and work collaboratively in a team environment
Good problem-solving and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Good understanding of Solid State Drives (SSDs) and NAND Flash memory is a plus.
Experience working with Large Language Models (LLMs) like GPT, BERT, or similar architectures
Ability to utilize RAG, and finetuning the LLM models
