Business Systems Analyst – Capital Markets

Location: Downtown Toronto, ON | 4 days/week onsite

Insight Global is seeking a technically strong Business Systems Analyst (BSA) to support a Capital Markets delivery team at a top‑tier financial institution. This role sits at the intersection of business stakeholders and a highly technical delivery team, with a strong emphasis on reference data, API integrations, and data analysis.

The ideal candidate is a senior‑level BSA who is comfortable owning stakeholder conversations, driving meetings, and translating complex business needs into clear, detailed technical requirements. This person will work closely with developers, data engineers, data modelers, and design teams to support API‑driven solutions within a Capital Markets environment.

What You’ll Be Doing

Act as a key liaison between business stakeholders and technology teams within Capital Markets
Lead and drive stakeholder meetings with confidence, ownership, and strong communication
Gather, analyze, and document business and technical requirements
Write detailed technical requirements and user stories for API‑based solutions
Support API integrations, testing, and validation using tools such as Postman
Perform data analysis using Python and SQL to support delivery and decision‑making
Partner closely with developers, data engineers, architects, and design teams on solution design
Support initiatives related to reference data and data integrations

Required Skills and Experience

5–8 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst
Strong Capital Markets and Financial Services experience
Hands‑on experience using Python and SQL for data analysis
Experience working with APIs (REST, integrations, testing)
Experience using Postman
Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently lead discussions with business stakeholders
Comfortable working in highly technical, fast‑paced delivery environments

Nice to Have

Direct experience working with Reference Data
Exposure to Murex
Experience with data modeling or working closely with data design teams

This role is ideal for a senior BSA who enjoys working close to the technology, leading conversations with stakeholders, and contributing to complex Capital Markets initiatives. The approximate pay rate will be $58-65/hr.
