I am working with a pioneering point-of-care medical technology company that is transforming how chronic disease is diagnosed and managed globally. As the business accelerates its expansion in the UK and Ireland, they are seeking a commercially driven and strategic General Manager to lead regional operations, scale growth, and strengthen market leadership.

This is a senior executive role offering the opportunity to shape the future of patient care in a fast-growing, high-impact healthcare sector.

The Role:

The General Manager will hold full P&L responsibility for the UK & Ireland region and act as the strategic leader of the subsidiary. You will drive commercial performance, develop market access, and build strong relationships across the healthcare ecosystem while leading a high-performing local team.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic & Commercial Leadership

Develop and execute regional strategy aligned with global objectives
Drive revenue growth, profitability, and market share expansion
Identify new opportunities across product, service, and partnership channels
Deliver data-driven decision-making and performance optimisation

Market Development & Stakeholder Engagement

Expand adoption of innovative point-of-care technology
Build strong partnerships with NHS stakeholders, payers, and healthcare authorities
Lead KOL engagement and industry networking initiatives
Monitor competitive landscape and shape market positioning

Operational & Financial Management

Hold full responsibility for P&L, forecasting, and cost control
Ensure operational excellence across the UK/Ireland subsidiary
Align regional execution with corporate governance and objectives

Team Leadership

Lead, inspire, and develop a high-performing commercial and operational team
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation
Build organisational capability to support growth

Regulatory & Compliance Oversight

Ensure compliance with MedTech regulations and ethical standards
Maintain adherence to company policies and industry best practice

Candidate Profile

Proven commercial leadership experience within medical devices, MedTech, or healthcare
Demonstrated success scaling business performance in competitive healthcare markets
Strong knowledge of NHS structure, procurement, and reimbursement pathways
Experience engaging healthcare stakeholders and key opinion leaders
CRM fluency (Salesforce preferred) and data-driven mindset
Strategic thinker with hands-on operational capability
Inspirational leader with a track record of building high-performing teams
