About the Role

RELYzIT Talent is seeking a freelance Data Engineer for a 10-month project in Brussels, Belgium. You’ll join a high-impact team dedicated to rebuilding complex data transformation processes, leveraging Dataiku and SAS expertise to drive digital transformation for our client. Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain advanced data transformation pipelines using Dataiku, following best practices for development and automation nodes.
Rebuild and optimize complex SAS programs within Dataiku, ensuring seamless migration and robust performance.
Collaborate with a team of Dataiku developers in an Agile project setting, contributing to sprint planning, reviews, and continuous improvement.
Utilize Dataiku’s low-code recipes and advanced features to deliver scalable, maintainable solutions.
Write, test, and optimize Python and SQL code as part of the data engineering workflow.
Document specifications and development processes to ensure knowledge transfer and project continuity.
Engage with stakeholders to clarify requirements and deliver high-quality, business-aligned outcomes.

Technical Skills

Expert-level proficiency in Dataiku (minimum 4 years of hands-on experience).
Advanced knowledge of Python (5+ years) and SQL (5+ years).
Strong experience with SAS (minimum 4 years), especially in migration or integration contexts.
Solid understanding of energy market processes (minimum 3 years).

Language Proficiency

Fluency in English and either French or Dutch is required.
Understanding of the third language (French or Dutch) is a strong advantage.
