Title: Azure DevOps Engineer
Location: Phoenix, AZ (onsite or hybrid)
Type: Contract
This role focuses on building and improving cloud delivery pipelines and infrastructure within Microsoft Azure. You will support development teams by automating deployments, strengthening security practices, and ensuring reliable, scalable cloud environments. This position plays a key role in connecting engineering, security, and operations to enable consistent and efficient software delivery.
Your role:
· Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, GitHub, or GitHub Actions to support modern application delivery.
· Automate build, testing, and deployment workflows for web applications, APIs, and cloud-native solutions.
· Develop and manage branching, versioning, and release management processes.
· Provision and administer Azure services including App Services, AKS, virtual machines, storage, SQL databases, and networking components.
· Implement Infrastructure as Code using tools such as ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
· Architect secure, scalable, and highly available Azure environments.
· Embed security scanning, secrets management, and vulnerability detection into deployment pipelines.
· Configure monitoring and logging using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
· Improve system reliability, performance, and overall platform stability.
· Contribute to technical design documentation and collaborate on architecture decisions.
· Work cross-functionally to troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and deployment issues.
What you’ve got:
· Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud infrastructure.
· Solid understanding of Azure networking, identity management, and security principles.
· Experience with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes (AKS preferred).
· Proficiency building pipelines with Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions.
· Experience implementing Infrastructure as Code using ARM, Bicep, or Terraform.
· Scripting skills in PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
· Working knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies.
· At least four years of experience in DevOps or cloud engineering roles.
· Experience supporting .NET applications including C#, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, and SQL is preferred.
· Ability to work independently while applying sound technical judgment and problem-solving skills.
· Strong collaboration skills and ability to communicate effectively with technical teams.
