Job Specifications

We’re looking for an investment analyst to be responsible for financial modelling of acquisitions. The role is temporary and on a project basis. As investment analyst you will be underwriting deals to acquire UK businesses and helping us structure our investments.

What you’ll do

Build and review deal models: cash flow, EBITDA, P&L, and key value drivers
Financial forecasting (base case, downside case, sensitivities, scenario planning)
Model capital structures and debt scenarios (repayment schedules, leverage, covenants where relevant)
Help shape deal terms and structure (pricing, leverage, risk areas)
Produce clear, decision-ready outputs (assumptions, scenarios, key risks)

What we’re looking for

Proven experience underwriting private equity investments (or similar acquisition finance work)
Strong modelling skills across debt, cash flow, EBITDA, and full P&L
Solid understanding of UK business finance and UK tax basics (deal-level implications)
Fluent English (written and spoken)

Qualifications (either is fine)

Chartered Accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA), or
Master’s degree in Business Finance, Accounting, Finance, or similar

Engagement

Part-time, temporary, project-based (supporting specific deals as they come up)
Paid hourly or per project
Typical project budget: £300 to £1,000 depending on scope and turnaround
