Job Title: Construction & Contract Management – Project Manager

Contract: 12 months (likely to extend)

Pay $90-100ph INC - $73-81ph T4

Overview

The Practice Project Manager will support the ongoing development, improvement, and implementation of a best-in-class Construction and Contract Management (CCM) Practice within a capital project delivery environment.

This role focuses on change management, process improvement, and stakeholder engagement, ensuring consistent application of CCM practices across the full project lifecycle—from project initiation through close-out.

The Project Manager will play a key role in providing guidance, training, and professional support to capital construction teams, helping ensure awareness, understanding, and adoption of established policies, procedures, and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in the development of new CCM practices and the revision of existing procedures and documentation.
Facilitate communication, collaboration, and decision-making among project teams and stakeholders.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and improve contract language, templates, and supporting tools.
Participate in short-term and intermediate departmental and strategic planning initiatives.
Support audits of project deliverables against CCM practices and develop action plans to address identified gaps.
Proactively identify lessons learned, assess implementation challenges, and recommend improvements to streamline CCM practices.
Coordinate and support job-specific training for new hires and existing capital construction personnel.
Help develop and deliver CCM-related training sessions for internal teams and business partners.
Provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to support skill and capability development within capital construction teams.
Plan, manage, and report on business process change initiatives, including developing project plans, communication plans, risk registers, status reports, and post-implementation reviews.
Develop and manage project and risk management plans, identifying and mitigating risks throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, Law, or a related discipline
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and extensive on-the-job experience will be considered
Project Management Professional (PMP®) designation preferred
Program or portfolio management experience considered an asset

Minimum 12 years of progressive experience in one or more of the following areas:
Project management
Business analysis
Process improvement
Change management
Stakeholder engagement or facilitation
Experience working within large, complex, asset-intensive or infrastructure environments preferred
