IT Service Specialist – London (Hybrid)
We’re looking for an IT Service Specialist who can bring structure, consistency, and strong service discipline to a busy technology function. If you enjoy improving ITSM processes, strengthening governance, and ensuring services run safely and compliantly, this role will give you plenty of scope to make an impact.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Owning and enhancing core ITSM practices across incident, change, problem, request, and asset management
Acting as a key point of contact for governance, ensuring processes align with internal controls and regulatory expectations
Managing and improving ITSM tooling (Halo, ServiceNow, Jira, etc.) to support efficient, ITIL‑aligned workflows
Supporting risk management activities, tracking actions, and ensuring remediation work is completed on time
Working with internal and external audit teams, coordinating responses and ensuring findings are addressed
Producing clear MI and reporting packs to give stakeholders visibility of compliance, service health, and operational performance
Contributing to operational resilience activities, including disaster recovery testing and service continuity planning
Reviewing processes and systems to ensure they align with business strategy, risk appetite, and best practice
What You’ll Bring:
Essential:
3+ years’ experience in an IT service, IT governance, or IT operations role
Strong background in incident, risk, audit, and service management
Experience working in financial services or another financial environment
Hands‑on experience with ITSM platforms (Halo, ServiceNow, Jira, or similar) - can produce workflows
ITIL Foundation or equivalent qualification
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage confidently across technical and non‑technical teams
Nice to Have:
ISACA CRISC, ITIL Practitioner, or similar certifications
Experience building dashboards or MI using PowerBI
Exposure to workflow automation within ITSM tools
