The Role

Norton Motorcycles are looking for a skilled and hands-on Electrical Build Support Engineer to assist in the installation, routing, and troubleshooting of electrical harnesses and systems during prototype and production builds. You’ll work closely with design, test, and manufacturing teams to ensure each build meets exacting engineering and safety standards while providing valuable feedback to drive continuous improvement.

This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail, a methodical approach, and a passion for engineering excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with electrical harness installation, routing, and troubleshooting during prototype and production builds

Ensure compliance with design specifications, build instructions, and safety standards

Collaborate with design, test, and manufacturing teams to resolve build issues quickly and effectively

Document build changes, issues, and lessons learned, providing structured feedback to design engineers for future improvements

Support validation activities, ensuring readiness for Design Verification Plan (DVP) milestones and production release

Maintain accurate records of build status, component changes, and test outcomes

Contribute to the continuous improvement of build processes, harness layout, and component accessibility

About You

Background in electrical, automotive, or mechanical engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience

Practical experience with vehicle electrical systems, wiring harnesses, or prototype builds

Strong understanding of electrical schematics, connectors, and diagnostic tools

Methodical approach to troubleshooting and resolving electrical issues

Excellent attention to detail and commitment to high build quality and safety

Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to collaborate effectively across engineering and production teams

A passion for motorcycles and the craft of engineering world-class machines

Desirable

Experience in automotive or motorcycle electrical systems build and integration

Familiarity with CAN/LIN systems, diagnostic tools, or vehicle electrical validation

Knowledge of DVP processes, prototype build documentation, and engineering change control

Experience working within a premium or performance vehicle environment
