Software Engineer - London - Miller Maxwell is proud to be partnering with an electronic trading organisation expanding their full stack software engineering team in London. They seek a Software Engineer with expertise across both frontend and backend development to play a pivotal role in the evolution of their electronic trading software with a focus on code quality, data structures and algorithms.

The Software Engineer candidate will contribute to the design and development of robust, scalable software solutions, building intuitive dashboards and user interfaces while also supporting backend services that power mission-critical trading operations.

Key Responsibilities for the Software Engineer

Design and develop new software features and products across the full stack.
Build and optimise JavaScript libraries for high-performance browser applications.
Develop and maintain internal applications and services.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product, trading, and operations.
Contribute ideas and improvements to the existing codebase and architecture.

Requirements for the Software Engineer:

Degree in a STEM-related discipline.
Minimum 6 years’ commercial experience in software engineering.
Strong proficiency in JavaScript, React.js, TypeScript, Node tech stack.
GraphQL - Kafka - Python - desirable.
Experience building scalable, high-volume software applications.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively.
A keen eye for design and user experience is a plus.
