3rd Line Support Engineer / Solutions Engineer – London (central)– Hybrid- £48K DOE

A growing MSP specialising in the media industry is expanding their technical team. Supporting over 5,000 users and 100 businesses from their London base, they've built their reputation on delivering quality service and fostering a genuinely collaborative culture.

They're now looking for a Solutions Engineer with solid 3rd line experience to join their infrastructure team, reporting directly to the Head of Infrastructure. This is a proper 3rd line position where personality and approach matter just as much as technical ability.

What's in it for you?

Salary of up to £48,000 DOE
Hybrid working- (Tuesday to Thursday) and two days working remotely.
You'll spend your first month predominantly in the office to embed properly with the team, then settle into a pattern of three days in the office.

Key skills:

Backup solutions experience, particularly around Veeam and data recovery.
Hybrid environment expertise covering on-premises infrastructure, cloud platforms and the integration between the two.
Networking knowledge including TCP/IP, VLANs, VPNs and routing protocols.

Day to day:

You'll be the escalation point for junior engineers whilst working on client projects and infrastructure upgrades across their diverse creative client base.
Providing senior technical support both remotely and on site, managing server configurations and virtual environments using Hyper-V, and overseeing enterprise backup solutions.
You'll work on client networks ensuring configurations are sound, lead implementations of cloud services like Microsoft 365 and Intune, and contribute to infrastructure projects including system migrations and server virtualisation.
Documentation is taken seriously, as is maintaining strong client relationships and managing expectations effectively.

Other core technical areas include:

Windows Server management covering Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and Group Policies
Cloud storage solutions like Lucidlink and Egnyte
MDT for OS deployment
Security tools such as Microsoft Defender, Sophos or Bitdefender.
