Job Specifications

Rate: £500-£550 Inside IR35 (8 hours, 9am-5pm, 5 days per week)

Duration: End of Nov initially, will extend.

Location: Sheffield 2/3 days, remaining remote (per week)

What You’ll Do

Design and implement migrations of infrastructure and services from legacy to new platforms.
Liaise with service owners to arrange suitable timing for migration activities.
Adhere to strict change control guardrails and governance standards.
Build automation solutions for the new platform.
Understand and modify existing code to work with new technologies.
Create deployment pipelines using client approved technologies.
Adhere to configuration and API standards.
Share knowledge and collaborate effectively with a distributed team.

What You Need to Succeed

Strong technical knowledge of Python, API development, and code testing/review.
Hands-on experience with automation tools and platforms, including Bash, Jenkins/CI/CD pipelines, Terraform, Ansible, and HashiCorp Vault.
Solid understanding of networking concepts, including BGP, routing, TCP/IP, certificates/PKI, VMware, and KVM.
Focused experience with F5 load balancers and automation of operational processes for the F5 estate.
Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a supportive, team-oriented environment.

Nice to Have

Experience working in banking or enterprise IT environments.
Familiarity with IT change control processes.
