Job Specifications

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented PeopleSoft Application Developer to play a critical role in our PeopleSoft 9.2 upgrade project. This is a hands-on, execution-focused development role where you will be responsible for retrofitting, rewriting, and enhancing existing custom code to ensure full functionality and alignment with the new environment. The ideal candidate thrives in a structured, collaborative setting and is passionate about modernizing legacy systems through precise technical work.

Must-Have Qualifications

5–8 years of hands-on PeopleSoft application development experience.
Proven experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, specifically the retrofitting and migration of existing custom code from earlier versions (e.g., 8.x, 9.0, 9.1) to PeopleSoft 9.2.
Strong proficiency in PeopleSoft proprietary development objects: PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interfaces, Integration Broker, and SQR.
Solid experience with Oracle databases, including writing complex SQL queries, performance tuning, and understanding database structures.
Demonstrated ability to enhance, debug, and rewrite existing code; this role emphasizes modification over greenfield development.
Experience working successfully in a structured, process-driven, and instruction-based development environment (e.g., following detailed technical specifications and upgrade plans).

Preferred Qualifications (Nice-to-Have)

Experience with additional PeopleSoft tools such as Workflow, BI Publisher, or Fluid UI development.
Prior exposure to PeopleSoft Financials (FSCM) or HCM modules.
Relevant professional certifications (e.g., Oracle PL/SQL Developer, PeopleSoft Technical).
Understanding of full software development lifecycle (SDLC) methodologies in an upgrade context.
