Project Brief: 'We are seeking highly experienced SAS Conversion SMEs with strong expertise in Python, PySpark, AWS, and modern data platforms to support the migration and transformation of legacy SAS-based analytics jobs into scalable and maintainable Python-based solutions. These individuals will act as liaisons between the DNA Business Teams and the technical implementation teams to assess existing SAS workloads, identify conversion opportunities, define re-engineering strategies, and support the rewrite and validation process using modern cloud-based data technologies.

Job Description:

Engage with Business and Analytics teams to understand and analyse existing SAS jobs and reporting pipelines.
Conduct in-depth analysis and impact assessment of SAS-based workloads and recommend appropriate Python-based transformation solutions.
Design and develop reusable, scalable, and maintainable Python/PySpark scripts for batch and real-time data processing in the cloud environment.
Translate SAS data processing logic into Python or PySpark code ensuring functional parity and performance optimization.
Collaborate with Data Engineers, BI Analysts, and QA teams to ensure end-to-end solution quality.
Assist in data validation and reconciliation to confirm migration completeness and correctness.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to other team members during the conversion project.
Document all conversion patterns, business rules, and technical specifications.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in data engineering and migration.
