Application Developer (IAM , Identity API Engineer)

Contract: 6 months+

Sheffield – Hybrid (3 days onsite per week)

Negotiable daily rate

We’re supporting a financial services client seeking an experienced Application Developer with IAM / Identity and API Development experience join a long-term contract engagement.

The role focuses on building secure, scalable identity and access workflows on Google Cloud Platform, with a strong emphasis on identity orchestration, API development, and event-driven (Pub/Sub) architectures.

Key experience required:

Strong background in IAM / identity orchestration (Auth0, Okta, WorkOS, or similar)
Hands-on API and microservices development (Python, Go, Java, or Node.js)
Experience with event-driven architectures (Pub/Sub)
Solid understanding of OAuth2, OIDC, JWT, SAML
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform)
Experience in regulated / enterprise environments (banking preferred)

This is a hybrid contract role (3 days per week onsite in Sheffield), offering a long-term engagement and a competitive, negotiable daily rate.
