Your Role at CinemaStory:

CinemaStory is seeking an ambitious and driven Business Development Representative (BDR) to join our team. This role is designed for a proactive, relationship-driven individual with a passion for the creative industry. The BDR will focus on inside sales, lead generation, and nurturing client relationships to drive new business. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, a hunter mentality, and a deep understanding of B2B, B2C and D2C sales processes.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead Generation: Identify and engage potential leads through online channels, networking, and industry events.
Outreach: Initiate conversations and introduce CinemaStory’s services via email, phone calls, events, and social media (LinkedIn outreach, etc.).
Prospecting: Actively call prospects, attend events, send direct emails, and engage in other secondary prospecting activities to generate leads.
Qualification: Use CinemaStory’s qualification process to assess customer needs and determine if they are a fit for our services.
Appointment Setting: Schedule prospect meetings with senior stakeholders and producers.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing team to develop effective outreach strategies and craft customized proposals for potential clients.
Client Relationship Management: Utilize the current book of business and build long-term relationships to expand our offerings for ongoing accounts.
Market Research: Conduct in-depth research on potential opportunities, competitors, and market trends to inform strategy and prospecting.
Networking: Join professional organizations and attend relevant industry events to grow CinemaStory’s network and enhance business development opportunities.

Measures of Success:

Make at least 20-25 prospecting calls per day.
Send at least 25-30 emails to the target market per day.
Schedule 2-3 qualified first-time appointments per week.
Acquire 2-3 new clients per month.
Record all lead generation and sales activity in CRM (e.g., Google Sheets, Monday.com).

Compensation:

Base salary + commission
Opportunities for bonuses based on performance.

Qualifications:

2-3 years of experience in B2B sales, advertising, media or other creative services.
Proven ability to generate leads and close deals in a custom product environment.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Experience in cold calling, prospecting, and conducting face-to-face client demos.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage a sales pipeline effectively.
Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs & Sheets Primarily)
Proficiency in Canva
Ability to travel all over DFW and the country as needed to win the trust of our clients.

Growth Timeline:

2-3 Weeks: Hands-on training and sales boot camp to master CinemaStory’s services and sales process.
2-3 months: Demonstrated success in acquiring new clients and managing accounts.
12 months: Opportunity to progress to Senior Business Development roles based on performance.

Additional Information

The physical work environment for this role includes a combination of working in our office/studio in Richardson TX as well the ability to attend networking events, trade shows and on-site client presentations. The ability to work part-time remotely will be discussed during the interview. We typically allow remote work as long as performance metrics are met. Ability to travel to other states for trade shows and client meetings is a must.
