What will you do?

The Information Security Officer is responsible for defining, implementing, and overseeing the company’s information security strategy, ensuring the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of information systems, networks, and customer data.

Key Responsibilities

Define and maintain the Information Security strategy aligned with business objectives and regulatory requirements.
Define security requirements for new network deployments, vendors, and technologies.
Identify, assess, and manage information security risks across IT and network landscapes.
Ensure compliance with:
National/European authority requirements
GDPR and data protection laws
NIS2 Directive
Lead the cybersecurity incident response process, including detection, containment, remediation, and post-incident reviews.
Ensure effective coordination with SOC, IT, Network Operations, Legal, and Communications teams.
Develop and maintain incident response, crisis management, and cyber resilience plans.
Ensure readiness for large-scale incidents impacting network availability or customer data.
Oversee security controls such as IAM, network security, endpoint protection, vulnerability management, and logging/monitoring.
Ensure continuous monitoring of threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks specific to telecom environments.
Review and approve security architecture and design for projects and changes.
Ensure contractual security clauses and compliance monitoring.
Lead, mentor, and develop the information security team.

Required Qualifications & Experience

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Security, Computer Science, Telecommunications, or equivalent experience.
Minimum 3-5 years of experience in information security, with previous exposure to telecom or large-scale infrastructure environments.
Proven experience securing complex networks and mission-critical systems.
Experience with regulatory compliance and audits in a telecom context is strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of:
Telecom network architectures
Network and IT security controls
Languages: French and/or Dutch + English

Certifications (preferred)

CISSP, CISM, CISA, ISO 27001 Lead Implementer/Auditor, or equivalent.
