What You’ll Build

Position title: SAP Global Procurement iXp Intern

Business Analyst Marketing Americas

Location: Newtown Square, PA

Expected start date: March/April 2026

Duration: 6 Months

Project scope and deliverables -

You will support core procurement operations for marketing, focusing on contracting, supplier engagement, Line of Business (LOB) interactions, and operational tasks. Key responsibilities include:
Contracting: Releasing agreements via DocuSign (Scope of Works [SOW], General Procurement Framework Agreements [GPFA], Amendments), and uploading them into Ariba Contract Management (ACM ) for compliance.
Supplier Engagement: Handling rebate collection, general vendor communications, and supporting document/master data changes or delayed payments; assisting with RFP processes (e.g., vendor contact, Ariba participant setup).
LOB Engagement: Managing standard stakeholder communications and responses using provided templates.
Data & Analytics: Conducting spend analyses using procurement data, identifying trends and cost drivers, and supporting data-driven insights through reports and basic dashboards.
Operational Work: Providing day-to-day support, handling one-off requests, and aiding Ariba/Fieldglass setup and transitions. Deliverables include streamlined contract templates, a rebate tracking report, and RFP support documentation to enhance efficiency.

Business impact -

Your efforts will accelerate contract processing, improve supplier compliance and rebate recovery, enhance spend visibility and reporting through data analysis, and ensure seamless LOB/vendor interactions.

Team environment and collaboration -

You’ll collaborate with Procurement Managers, Line of Business leads (e.g., event governance teams), and SAP’s preferred vendors. Weekly check-ins with a mentor and access to cross-functional meetings will provide guidance, plus shadowing opportunities on real negotiations.

Learning opportunities -

Gain hands-on experience with procurement tools (e.g. DocuSign, ACM, Ariba & SpendHQ), negotiation tactics, risk assessment, and marketing logistics. Develop skills in data analysis, experimenting with AI use cases to drive efficiency and insights, sustainability integration in RFPs, and stakeholder communication through real-world projects.

Additional context -

This role offers exposure to global tier-1 events, potential on-site involvement, and collaboration with international teams. It’s ideal for those passionate about learning about all aspects of how a company runs and developing a strategic mindset in the world of procurement.

Educational requirements -

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management or a related field; rising junior/senior or graduate student preferred.

Experience level and background -

Entry-level with some exposure to procurement or project management (e.g., through prior internships, campus roles, or coursework). Background in data analysis or vendor relations is a plus.

Essential:

Experience with or eagerness to work with AI-related tools and frameworks Ability to handle and analyze structured/unstructured data
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel for data tracking, PowerPoint for reports); strong analytical mindset .
Nice-to-have : Familiarity with procurement tools like SAP Ariba, ACM and/or SpendHQ.
Interest in and foundational understanding of Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning concepts
Familiarity with SAP-specific AI offerings (e.g., Joule, Business AI, SAP AI Core, or SAP Analytics Cloud AI features)
Soft skills: Excellent communication, attention to detail, adaptability in fast-paced environments, and teamwork for cross-functional collaboration.
