About The Job

As a PMO Project Manager, you will oversee all PMO activities to ensure their efficient execution and identify pain points and areas for improvement together with the PMO core team. This role is essential for fostering a project management culture, improving project execution and ensuring alignment with strategic goals while maintaining flexibility and adaptability within Sofico.  

This position centers around quality assurance and project and portfolio health monitoring. Each month, you will review and assess all ongoing projects, identify risks early on, and formulate improvement actions to enhance the overall project quality and performance.

You are responsible for:   

Supporting the Sales team when completing tenders, validate and create project proposals, specifying project approach, scope, assumptions, schedule and budget 
Supporting our Program and Project managers during the project initiation phase in defining the most appropriate approach, taking into account program/project size and complexity 
Providing training and coaching to the Program and Project managers in our different units 
Leading project and program health checks and stage gates: highlight & help define mitigation where projects are not delivered in line with initial schedule/budgets and/or not delivered in line with agreed approach/project methodology. You will also ensure timely and qualitative reporting towards stakeholders. 
Taking the role as PM for internal (strategic) projects: project management as well as leading change & communication management.  
Continuous improvement: defining & improving our PM related processes, setting out guidelines, best practices and defining templates and work instructions for PMs. Facilitating the PM community to share and collect feedback and collaborate on improvement of the PM-practice and our Implementation Methodology. 
Conduct portfolio analysis and aim for measurable increase in successful project delivery. Report project portfolio status to management, manage overall project portfolio KPIs 

Your interests and skills

You have the ability to switch between tasks and project context easily and you can familiarize with new scope/content quickly. Your strong communication skills, planning & coordination skills allow you to manage difficult situations with ease and ensure clarity and alignment across stakeholders. 

What else is expected:  

7+ years of experience in a PMO role, preferably in software solution delivery. Experience in ERP Project Management (e.g. Salesforce, SAP or similar systems) is a big plus
Affinity with the financial aspects of projects and portfolios – including budget creation, budget monitoring, forecasting and financial impact analysis
Familiarity and proven hands-on experience with project methodologies like Waterfall, Agile, Safe,… 
Strong analytical and conceptual thinking skills, paired with a practical, proactive and hands-on approach to problem-solving. 
Strong sense of ownership, ability to maintain helicopter view across multiple complex projects and programs
Continuous improvement mindset
Experience with leading change and optimizing processes. Strong stakeholder management capabilities. Highly adaptive to different stakeholder profiles
Fluent in English & Dutch, both verbally and in writing.
