Job Title: Research Executive (Social Researcher)

Location: Hybrid – remote working with occasional travel (UK-based)

About the Role:

At MediPaCe, we believe medicines and services only deliver benefit if they work within the realities of people’s lives. While clinical data is essential, it is the social, cultural, and behavioural dimensions of health that often determine access, adherence, and real-world impact. As our global portfolio grows, we are seeking a Research Executive (Social Researcher) to strengthen our capacity to deliver high-quality, ethically grounded social research that translates patient insight into meaningful evidence.

This role sits within our Research Team and works closely with colleagues across the Project Management Office and our Patient Involvement Centre of Excellence.

You will contribute to projects across the UK, Europe, the US and increasingly Asia, helping ensure research is inclusive, culturally sensitive, and responsive to diverse lived experiences. The role is central to MediPaCe’s mission to embed social and behavioural understanding into healthcare decision-making.

What you'll do:

You will support the design and delivery of qualitative, quantitative, and mixed-methods research projects across therapy areas and geographies. Working with the Research Manager and team, you’ll help identify where social research can add value, design methodologically robust studies, and deliver them to a high standard.

This includes conducting interviews, focus groups, surveys and participatory activities; analysing and interpreting data; and contributing to reports, white papers, publications and presentations. You will work directly with patient communities, caregivers, client teams and partners, ensuring research approaches are ethical, inclusive and culturally appropriate.

You’ll also contribute to patient advisory boards, co-creation workshops and other participatory formats, support efforts to improve diversity and representation in research, and help build trusted, long-term relationships with underserved and historically excluded communities globally.

You will be working closely with our Project Management Office, supporting culturally and socially sensitive project delivery, integrating social science optimally within programmes, and helping ensure research outputs extend beyond publication to create meaningful benefit in society through co-created tools, resources and initiatives.

About you:

You are a social researcher motivated by real-world impact and equity in healthcare. You are comfortable working across cultures and disciplines, able to balance methodological rigour with empathy, curiosity and adaptability. You enjoy collaborative work, can manage multiple workstreams, and are confident operating in environments where co-creation and complexity are part of the process. You are interested in how social, cultural and behavioural factors shape health outcomes, and you want your research to inform better, fairer decisions in healthcare and life sciences.

Knowledge, skills and experience:

BSc (or equivalent) in a social science discipline
Practical experience delivering social research (qualitative, quantitative or mixed-methods)
Experience working with under-represented or diverse communities
Strong organisational, communication and analytical skills
Understanding of healthcare and/or life sciences environments
Fluency in English
