Role Overview

The Salesforce Product Manager (IT Platform Owner) is responsible for the technical direction, governance, and technical maintenance of the Salesforce platform, with a primary focus on CRM (Sales Cloud), Field Service Management (FSM), and Revenue Cloud (CPQ/Billing). This role ensures the platform meets business needs while maintaining technical integrity, security, and scalability. This manager will also manage Salesforce DevOps and continuous improvement and continuous delivery for various Salesforce systems.

Key Responsibilities

Platform Strategy & Roadmap: Own the Salesforce platform vision and multi-year roadmap for CRM, FSM, and Revenue Cloud. Lead Product Council and Architecture Reviews to prioritize enhancements and ensure business alignment.
Governance & Guardrails: Define and enforce standards for platform configuration, customization, and integration. Ensure accountability for architecture, security, release management, and vendor/license compliance. Oversee data governance and stewardship.
Technical Ownership: Manage the Salesforce data model, architecture, and integrations with other enterprise systems. Oversee release pipelines and DevOps processes.
Operational Excellence: Maintain secure access models and oversee support and incident management with IT Service Desk. Ensure platform reliability and scalability.
Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with business process owners to gather requirements and feedback. Support compliant business-led configuration and facilitate Change Advisory Board meetings.
Change Management & Adoption: Promote training and change management to drive user adoption, providing necessary materials and guidance for business-led training.

Required Qualifications

5+ years of experience in Salesforce platform management, product ownership, or enterprise architecture.
Deep subject matter expertise in Salesforce CRM (Sales Cloud), with working knowledge of Field Service Lightning and Revenue Cloud (CPQ/Billing).
Proven experience with platform governance, technical architecture, integrations, and release management.
Strong understanding of data governance, security, and compliance in enterprise environments.
Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and cross-functional leadership skills.
Experience with Agile methodologies and product lifecycle management.
Limited travel requirement (

Preferred Qualifications

Salesforce certifications (e.g., Platform App Builder, Sales Cloud Consultant, Field Service Consultant, CPQ Specialist).
Experience managing complex Salesforce orgs with multiple business units and integrations.
Familiarity with middleware/integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft).
Experience leading Product Council, CAB, and Architecture Review forums.
