Responsibilities

Position Summary/ Primary Purpose

Are you looking for an Information Technology internship that will give you valuable hands-on experience? Our Co-op/ Internship program at Daifuku will combine your education with practical experience on the job. We are currently looking for bright and talented college level students who are interested in bringing their passion to life and to be part of our future as a global material handling systems world leader.Â

Major Areas of Responsibility

Provide support and basic trouble shooting for current operations
Investigate, gather and analyze data for specifically assigned, recurring tasks
Identify and implement cost reduction, quality, safety and ergonomic improvement ideas
Implement new manufacturing processes and technology
Contribute to the success of the team by taking on additional responsibilities and completing tasks as assigned

Knowledge

Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products

Qualifications

Skills & Abilities

Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong interpersonal skills with focus on teamwork
Strong organizational skills and written communication skillsÂ
Availability to work 24-40 hours per week between the hours of 8am-5pm, Mon-Friday, ongoing (not seasonal)
Self-managed, hard-working, great attitude, ready to learn

Education & Experience

Actively enrolled in and pursuing a B.S. or M.S. degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent

Demonstrated Physical Abilities

Remain stationary for 50% of the time; move/traverse throughout the office to access file cabinets and office equipment; operate a computer and other productivity machinery; inspect documents; communicate with others through talking/hearing; read/identify/assess forms and correspondence.Â
