Founded in 2023, Windy City Events produces some of Chicago’s most vibrant live experiences—from large-scale music festivals to cultural street festivals and 5Ks. Our mission is to celebrate community, uplift small businesses, and showcase local talent through culturally authentic, family-friendly events.

We’re seeking a Graphic Designer with festival and live-event experience to support our Marketing Director and Creative Strategy Director across multiple events throughout the season. This role is built for designers who thrive on bold visuals, quick turnarounds, and seeing their work come to life on-site.

What You’ll Do

Design festival-forward creative for digital, print, and on-site use
Create assets for social media, paid ads, posters, flyers, stage screens, signage, schedules, and wayfinding
Support fast-moving, time-sensitive requests from the Marketing Director
Develop sponsor and co-branded assets that live both online and on the festival grounds
Resize and adapt designs across platforms and formats under tight deadlines
Support Spanish-language creative with accuracy and cultural relevance
Collaborate closely with marketing, sponsorship, and production teams during peak event cycles

What You Bring

2+ years of professional graphic design experience with festivals, concerts, nightlife, or live events strongly preferred
Portfolio showcasing bold typography, strong layouts, and real-world event applications
Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)
Ability to juggle multiple events and deadlines simultaneously
Comfortable working independently with clear creative direction
Professional fluency in Spanish (written + spoken)
Availability to support evenings and weekends during festival season

Contract / freelance role with ongoing project-based work
Flexible schedule with heavier workloads leading up to event weekends
Compensation starts at competitive rates and is based on experience and scope of work
Strong potential for repeat work across multiple festivals and seasons
