New Value Solutions, a national IT consulting company, is seeking a Business Analyst with a robust technology and financial management background to support Technology Business Management and FinOps initiatives and reporting. This role is focused on operational support with a strong financial understanding. The ideal candidate will assist executives with the knowledge to dynamically manage technology cost changes across cloud, security, and infrastructure environments, improve the quality and accuracy of operational reporting, entrench IT service and billing practices.
Responsibilities:
Support TBM and FinOps initiatives with a focus on operational support and financial analysis.
Develop and maintain total cost models covering infrastructure, cloud, security, and enterprise IT services.
Deliver executive-level financial, operational, and stewardship reporting to support technology decision-making.
Analyze consumption, utilization, demand, and unit cost metrics using standardized tagging and taxonomy.
Support vendor reviews, pricing analysis, negotiations, and industry benchmarking.
Improve IT service costing, billing, and chargeback or showback maturity.
Enhance TBM and FinOps operational processes across maturity stages.
Support continuous improvement of systems, tools, and reporting capabilities.
Communicate insights clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Requirements:
Advance Knowledge of IT services, financial management process, Cloud-FinOps, and Security, and Infrastructure and best practices Technology Business Management enhancements.
Strong Understanding of ITIL and Service Management background including the coordination transactions and process, automation, cloud adoption, agile transformation, and enterprise IT.
In-depth costing knowledge of IT Infrastructure domains including data centers, network/communications, server utilization, virtual environment and Scope of work to be assigned to the Supplier.
Advance Total costing modeling of financial transactions, consumption unit metrics, demand, utilization, and standardized tagging/taxonomy needs required in TBM & Fin-Ops team.
Delivery of key executive and stewardship reporting Templates. This includes total cost review to support technology decisions in the current and future periods.
Delivery of advance Technology vendor reviews, negotiation and pricing, partnership monitoring of value, industry benchmarking.
Advance understanding of Technology business management practices and FinOps Operations to support the stages of maturity, growth, and advance support for technology team
Advanced knowledge of systems and tools with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
Integration Microsoft tools (Power bi, excel, query, teams)
Microsoft products including Azure Cloud
PeopleSoft
Service Now
TBM- Apptio one & Cloudability, ClearCost, Yarken
Strong communication and presentation skills to enhance transparency, support value-based discussions to run the business (performance and alignment), and change the business (innovation and agility).
Workflow mapping tools, process mapping, and experience in developing Job Description – FinOps and TBM role development
Advance data and collection methods to model Big Data, large data analysis, connect key business costing data.
Key Qualifications
Business administration, management information systems, and accounting designation
Certification in TBM and FinOps
Agile reporting analysis and coordination
Financial Modeling, reporting and analysis
ITIL Certified
