Role Overview
We have partnered with an AI-focused fund hiring a Principal to form the core of the European investment team alongside a senior Partner. The Principal will lead sourcing, diligence, deal execution, and portfolio engagement across high-conviction technology themes. This is a senior, entrepreneurial role for an investor with strong analytical depth, a high-quality network, and strong conviction in AI and DeepTech markets.
Investment Focus
AI Infrastructure: Semiconductors, advanced compute, data centres, networking, cloud, AI Ops/MLOps, cybersecurity
AI Applications: Legal/compliance, financial & professional services, workforce productivity (automation, co-pilots, decision intelligence)
Physical AI / DeepTech: Robotics, industrial automation, quantum, enabling hardware/systems
Media + AI: AI-driven content, personalisation, monetisation, next-gen media (with flexibility to invest earlier-stage)
Ideal Profile
Experience
6+ years in venture capital (institutional VC or CVC)
Open to hybrid operator-investor backgrounds
Experience in AI, data/compute infrastructure, DeepTech, semiconductors, cloud, or cybersecurity
Skills & Capabilities
Strong financial and analytical rigour; able to fully own investment cases end-to-end
Proven origination capability and access to high-quality European deal flow
Fluency in French or German preferred; other European languages a plus
Deep network across DACH, Benelux, Nordics, and broader European tech ecosystems
Personality & Operating Style
High-trust collaborator; must work seamlessly with the senior Partners
Confident communicator; credible in senior and cross-functional settings
Relationship-driven and effective in working with operational teams
Curious, ambitious, entrepreneurial; able to punch above their weight
