Introduction

We are currently hiring a Compliance Specialist (Biobank / Human Biological Sample) for our client, a global pharmaceutical company known for its innovative technology and products. This position is offered as a full-time role on a 12-month renewable contract, with 3 days in-office and 2 days remote.

This role is part of a new initiative emphasizing strong documentation, governance, and data integrity. It involves supporting biobank and human biological sample (HBS) compliance and maintaining controlled documentation. You will help ensure that sample-related records and procedures are accurate, traceable, and prepared for internal review or audits.

Responsibilities

Support compliance activities tied to Human Biological Samples (HBS) (e.g., documentation completeness, traceability, governance alignment).
Convert historical lab/procedure documents into a new controlled template and migrate into a Content Management System (CMS).
Facilitate document workflows: routing for review, managing comments, and coordinating approvals/sign-off.
Partner with internal stakeholders (e.g., lab teams, compliance, training) to ensure finalized procedures are assigned for training.
Identify and resolve documentation gaps and support data integrity efforts (accuracy, version control, auditability).
Contribute to continuous improvement in documentation processes (practical, compliant, and scalable).

Requirements

Similar compliance experience within pharma/healthcare/CRO environments.
Demonstrated experience working with Human Biological Samples (HBS) (biobank, clinical samples, etc.).
Experience with controlled documents and a content/document management system (formatting, migration, routing approvals, version control).
Strong data integrity mindset: detail-oriented, consistent, and able to spot mismatches or missing documentation.
Flexible and open mindset: comfortable adapting, collaborating, and accepting that there may be multiple “right” approaches.
Strong stakeholder communication: influencing to move the work forward.
