Job Specifications

6 month contract to permanent position for a Fortune 100 Oil & Energy business, they have 85,000 employees and $65 billion revenue.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, execute, and deliver cybersecurity projects within scope, budget, and timeline, ensuring adherence to quality standards.
Lead and manage cross-functional project teams, fostering collaboration and motivating team members to achieve project objectives.
Develop project plans, including defining goals, deliverables, milestones, and resource allocation, while considering the specific requirements of cloud-based security projects.
Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies to proactively address potential security threats and vulnerabilities.
Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders, including senior management, IT teams, and business units, to understand their security needs and align project objectives with business goals.
Monitor project progress, track key performance indicators (KPIs), and provide regular status updates to stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and transparency throughout the project lifecycle.
Manage project budgets, track expenditures, and ensure optimal resource allocation to achieve cost-effective results.
Stay updated on the latest cybersecurity trends, emerging threats, and industry best practices, leveraging this knowledge to enhance project outcomes and mitigate risks effectively.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field. Advanced certifications in project management (PMP, Prince2) and cybersecurity (CISSP, CISM) are highly desirable.
Proven experience as a Project Manager, specifically in the cybersecurity domain, with a track record of successfully delivering complex projects within scope, time, and budget.
Strong understanding of cloud-based security architectures, industry standards, and regulatory requirements (e.g., GDPR, ISO 27001).
Demonstrated knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, CIS), risk management methodologies, and incident response procedures.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Exceptional problem-solving and decision-making abilities, coupled with the capacity to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
Proactive and results-driven mindset, with a passion for continuous improvement and staying abreast of evolving cybersecurity trends and technologies.
