In this role, you are a vital link between our innovative products and the farmers who use them every day. You’re here to support, understand, problem-solve, and help farmers succeed using SEAPA systems, while ultimately growing their (and thus our) business.

We see this role as the start of a journey where you will build deep knowledge of our systems, develop practical case studies, collect real-world data, and strengthen SEAPA’s reputation in France as a trusted technical partner. Relationship building is key to understanding how we can plan, assist and grow our business through current customers and trials.

Your Mission:

To help oyster farmers confidently use SEAPA gear, improve farm operations, collect meaningful data to validate SEAPA’s methods, and provide ongoing technical support. 

Key Responsibilities:1. Technical Field Support & Training
Visit farms to observe SEAPA gear in real conditions
Assist with installations and adjustments for optimal SEAPA system use
Provide hands-on training and demonstrations to customers and farm crews
Follow up on current trials, product issues, and customer feedback
Train and support team members in using SEAPA products confidently
Assist sales team on specific farm visits (when required) to aid in technical assessment
Support and represent SEAPA at tradeshows and events

2. Data Collection & Case Studies
Collect production measurements and operational data on SEAPA growing methods
Build practical case studies and factual comparisons (e.g., SEAPA vs traditional French methods)
Share insights with SEAPA teams to improve product understanding and technical guidance

3. Trial Management (France/Europe)
Manage trials of new and existing SEAPA products across Europe
Gather structured feedback from customers on product performance and usability
Identify and understand issues farmers face when using SEAPA products
Provide detailed trial data and insights to the HQ team in Australia to support continuous improvement
The employee will be required to travel to any place required by his work duties, throughout France and/or abroad

4. Product Development Collaboration
Work closely with SEAPA’s Product Development team to identify new product opportunities and ensure smooth customer onboarding
Share on-ground insights to guide improvements and innovation in SEAPA’s product range
Understand the challenges farmers face in France and Europe to help SEAPA offer practical, effective solutions with both existing and new products
Deep dive into Root Cause analysis when receiving product problems or feedback, to ensure we understand what could be the true cause (for example, is it the use of the product, the set up, the environment etc - it could be different than the customer assumes). This requires investigation of the process and usage for each enquiry / project

5. Communication & Reporting
Maintain clear, timely updates to the SEAPA team on farm visits, trials, and feedback
Update CRM and reporting tools with relevant notes to support transparency and learning across the team
Work closely with sales, BDM, or admin staff, ensuring technical insights align with broader customer support efforts
Participate in weekly global team calls and regional planning sessions
Coordinate closely with the business development representative to ensure seamless customer onboarding and retention
Maintain an agile mindset, open to evolving customer and project approaches as SEAPA grows across Europe
Monthly input, suggestions and feedback of current stock on hand and or orders, based on information obtained during farm visits and or suggestions (ensure we have the optimal products available in France, at the optimal levels, based on customer feedback or requests - align with sales and sales support)
Feedback on any stock anomalies or trends in the market
Good, clear communication skills with all team members, both written and spoken
Manage and participate in team dynamics and attend regular meetings and feedback sessions

What You Bring:
Practical oyster farming experience and understanding of industry challenges
Confidence in providing on-farm technical support and troubleshooting
A willingness to learn, adapt, and grow with SEAPA’s mission in France
Strong communication skills in French are essential. English skills are a plus
Comfort with using digital tools (CRM, data collection apps)
An interest in contributing to social media content and customer learning resources
