Role : Technical Lead

Location : Basingstoke , full time onsite

Clearance level: High Level Clearance Required

IR35 Status : Inside IR35 , Negotiable rates

Key Responsibilities

-Take full ownership of allocated work packages and drive them through design, build, test, and release into live service.

-Provide strong technical leadership across Wintel-based and multi-platform environments.

-Navigate and resolve obstacles including technical blockers, organisational bureaucracy, and interpersonal challenges.

-Assess technical information from engineers, ensuring accuracy and calling out inconsistencies or blockers early.

-Coordinate with engineering, architecture, test, change, and operations teams to maintain momentum and deliver on time.

-Ensure that technical decisions are aligned with programme goals, compliance requirements, and best practices.

-Monitor progress, manage risks and issues, and escalate appropriately when required.

Required Skills & Experience

-Proven experience as a Technical Lead, Delivery Lead, or Senior Engineer in complex IT environments.

-Strong understanding of Wintel platforms (Windows Server, AD, group policy, infrastructure services, virtualisation, etc.).

-Broad technical awareness across networks, security, applications, and integrations.

-Ability to challenge technical teams constructively and separate fact from fiction.

-Demonstrated success driving delivery in complex, bureaucratic, or high-pressure environments.

-Strong communication, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

-Experience working in or alongside Agile teams.
