Company Description

Ranmore manages a global equity fund. We have a small team and conduct our own fundamental research in an attempt to determine a company’s value.

Role Description

We are looking for a person who is extremely numerate, has excellent academic results, enjoys working with numbers, and has an innate sense of when things don’t seem right. The candidate must have an open mind, be keen to learn, and have a curiosity about the world around them, and most importantly how businesses function.

You must be comfortable with uncertainty and making decisions with imperfect data.

Prior experience in the fund management industry is not required.

The job entails valuing businesses. This involves reading as much as possible about a business, the industry, and competitive dynamics. Analysing the financial statements and using the data you have gathered to build a financial model and earnings forecasts. Once your analysis is complete you will present your work to our team and defend your conclusions.

Qualifications

Strong academic results
Advanced Analytical Skills and expertise in Finance
Proficiency in Financial Modeling and accounting
Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret large sets of data
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance or Engineering
Strong communication and presentation skills
