About Offset
Offset is a proudly independent wine commerce technology and brand design company based out of Napa and San Francisco. We’ve been combining the power of wine and technology since 2009, always grounded in longevity, focus, and human values.
Our platform, Offset Commerce, is the leading choice for high-end wineries and high-touch online wine retailers, and our brand, packaging, and website design services are trusted by a growing list of discerning clients.
The Role
We’re looking for a Senior Full Stack Developer who knows the web inside and out — someone who can build clean, fast, reliable websites and also shape the tools that power them. You’ll work across design, engineering, and product, set a high bar for execution, and help modernize how we build without drowning the team in unnecessary complexity.
Your work will directly influence the quality of the sites our clients rely on and the internal platform that makes them possible. This is a role for someone who cares about craft, keeps things simple, and builds with purpose. Most importantly, you’ll join a team intent on making a long-term, positive impact in the wine industry.
What You’ll Do
Contribute as a true teammate — sharing knowledge, improving processes, and helping developers of all levels level up.
Build custom and templated websites that are fast, responsive, accessible, and aligned with each client’s brand.
Design and develop the internal CMS and ecommerce tools that power our web platform — not just using the system, but shaping how it evolves.
Keep your solutions focused and practical: modernize where it matters, avoid complexity for complexity’s sake, and make choices that stand the test of time.
Test, debug, and refine across major browsers and devices to ensure a seamless experience end-to-end.
Stay current on modern web practices and technologies, especially those transforming the winery sector.
Lead integrations with APIs, external services, social feeds, and marketing systems to extend functionality and improve engagement.
Ensure all development meets legal, regulatory, and accessibility standards without sacrificing performance or design intent.
Work directly with clients to understand needs, present ideas, share prototypes, and translate feedback into thoughtful iterations.
Train clients on how to use our CMS so they can confidently manage and update their own sites.
Deepen your understanding of ecommerce and winery industry trends to inform smarter design, better tooling, and stronger integrations.
Work with third-party developers to ensure integrations are stable, clean, and aligned with project goals.
Collaborate with internal teams to refine and evolve our apps, platform features,
