Clientmind Recruiting is searching for a Frontend Engineer for a client based in the Bethesda area. This is onsite 2x per week.

This role emphasizes modern frontend development with a focus on interaction design, performance optimization, and creating pixel-perfect implementations that feel fast and responsive. While React is their primary framework, they value engineers with diverse framework experience. You'll collaborate across teams to evolve their consumer-facing products while maintaining a high bar for quality and user experience.

What You'll Do

Build and maintain consumer-facing web applications with exceptional UX
Design and implement delightful micro-interactions and animations
Create responsive, accessible interfaces that work beautifully across devices
Integrate with GraphQL APIs to deliver seamless data experiences
Collaborate with design, product, and backend teams to ship polished features
Optimize application performance for speed and responsiveness

What We're Looking For

5+ years of frontend engineering experience shipping consumer products
Strong skills in modern frontend frameworks (React preferred) with deep understanding of reactivity, state management, and component architecture
Experience optimizing performance across different rendering contexts (CSR, SSR, SSG)
Expertise in CSS, animations, and creating polished visual experiences
Experience building performant, accessible web applications
Passion for user experience and attention to detail in implementation
Comfortable collaborating with designers to translate vision into delightful reality

Bonus Points

Experience with advanced animation libraries (Framer Motion, GSAP, or similar)
Experience with other modern frontend frameworks (Vue, SolidJS, or similar)
Experience implementing design systems and component libraries
Experience with REST APIs, WebSockets, or other API integration patterns
Familiarity with A/B testing and data-driven product iteration
Experience building mobile applications (iOS/Android) using native or web technologies (React Native, Swift, Kotlin, PWAs)
