Job Description – Back-End Engineer

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Back-End Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable backend services and APIs. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in C# (.NET 8+), Azure services, and secure application development.

Key Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# (.NET 8+).
Develop cloud-native solutions leveraging Azure Services including Service Bus, Azure SQL, and API Management.
Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data exchange patterns across distributed systems.
Work closely with front-end and architecture teams to integrate services and ensure system reliability.
Design and optimize relational data models; perform schema design, query tuning, and data performance optimization in SQL Server.
Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and follow coding, performance, and security best practices.
Participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
(Nice to have) Work with Terraform or Bicep for infrastructure-as-code and cloud environment provisioning.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience in C#, .NET 8+, and API development.
Expertise with Azure Service Bus, Azure SQL, API Management, and other Azure PaaS components.
Proven experience implementing secure authentication/authorization flows and data protection mechanisms.
Solid understanding of SQL Server internals, performance tuning, and database optimisation.
Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep is a plus.
Strong problem-solving, debugging, and collaboration skills.
