What you'll do:
Design, build, test, and deliver software enhancements while promoting a DevOps culture, contributing across the development lifecycle to ensure reliability, scalability, and operational stability.
Troubleshoot issues, manage incidents, communicate with stakeholders, lead blameless post-mortems, and drive long-term corrective actions.
Define and monitor application analytics to support improved service-level objectives, product observability and telemetry and modernization efforts.
Follow change-management and release processes while accelerate automation.
Run resiliency management planning, scheduling and execution of disaster recovery tests, aiming to automate where possible.
Collaborate with infrastructure and SRE teams to streamline systems and support on-call production outside regular hours.
What You Bring:
Proficient in Python, Unix Shell scripting, and SQL, with experience in relational and non-relational databases.
Experience with development tools: source code control software, automated build, automated testing and JIRA, build automation, test-driven development, and CI/CD
Experience with at least one public cloud platform (AWS, GCP, or Azure).
Understanding of SRE practices (SLO/SLI/SLA, error budgets) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills
Experience managing large-scale application/system configurations (thousands of nodes).
Familiarity with declarative frameworks (Puppet, Terraform).
Strong programming and software design skills, preferably in Python, with knowledge of APIs, security, authentication, data structures, and principles like DDD, SOLID, and GRASP.
Familiarity with modern architectures and tools, including microservices, REST API development, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD integration.
